Fassiyathush Shadhiliya Tariqa

Qutbul Ujud As Sheikh Hazrat Imam Muhammad Ajwad Al Fassy (Rali…) taught about this Sufi Order ( Tariqa ) at Makkah al Mukarrama to Khalifa Abubakar Miskeen Sahib (Rah…) a great scholar from Kayalpattinam, South India during the latter’s visit to Hajj as pilgrim. Also the great Sufi Saint Sheikh Muhammad bin Muhammad bin mas'ood bin Abdurrahman Ajwad Al Makki Al Maghribi Al Fassy Ash Shadhili(Rali…) ordered Miskeen Sahib (Rah…) to convey the information about this Tariqa to descendants of Hazrat Prophet (Sal…), Hazrat Meer Ahmad Ibrahim (Rah…) & Hazrat Meer Amjad Ibrahim (Rah…) living in Madurai, South India.

After a perfect analysis Hazrat Meer Amjad Ibrahim (Rah…) & Hazrat Meer Ahmed Ibrahim (Rah…) who was chief Kazi to the Govt. at that time, accepted this Tariqa, became it’s Khalifatul Khulafa appointed by Qutbul Ujud Imama Fassi radiyallah and started flourishing it.

After the death of Periya Hazrat, His brother Meer Amjad Ibrahim (Chinna Hazrat) became the Khalifa of Fassiyatush Shadhiliyyah in tamilnadu. He was appointed by the Holy son of Qutbul Ujud, Hazrat Sheikhuna Shamsuddin Muhammad Al Makki Al Fassi Ash Shadhili Radiyallah Ta'ala anhu who later visited to Madurai to bless our Iqwan in Kazimar street.

Hazrat Syed Abdus Salaam Ibrahim (Saalim Waliyullah), accepted this tariqa only after getting consent from Prophet. Hazrat Sheikh Muhammad Saalih Moulana radiyallah, who is one among the descendants of Abdul-Qadir Gilani, and a murid of Imam Fassi, visited madurai. Saalim Hazrat got Bai'at (vow) from Sheikh Muhammad Saalih Moulana Radiyallah and embraced shadhiliyya.

During the Period of these three Waliyullahs and Khalifaas after them, Fassiyatush Shadhiliyya sufi order started flourishing in various parts of TamilNadu, Kerala and in SriLanka.
